I took this from the Empire State Building on a recent trip to New York. Most of the photos I took were of a fairly stock skyline variety but as I was editing this one it started looking like a vintage photo so I played with that a bit and I am pretty happy with how it turned out.

I was staying near the O2 Arena in London for a conference and went out for a stroll one evening. The skyline was so pretty I had to spend some time trying to capture it. I love taking long exposure night photos but this was tricky because I didn’t have a tripod with me. Still I managed to get a 2 second exposure to come out, partly thanks to my camera’s image stabilisation.
