I find water fascinating in all its forms. The way it reflects light and in this case the perfectly smooth droplets refracting light. I was really happy with how well focused I got this too.

I love the dreamlike quality of this. The grass was blowing around in the wind while the seed pods were moving slower, being heavier and so I managed to get them in focus with the rest a little blurry. I wish I could say that was intentional.

Water, and particularly the movement of water is something I love to see. Waves are particularly interesting, they can be so powerful yet so beautiful.

Oar splashing in the water

We took a row boat out on Lake Windermere and I was fascinated with the shapes and colours that the water made as the oar splashed into the lake. So my wife took over rowing while I took some photos. This caused all manner of comments from the other men rowing their wives around the lake!

One of our early homes was a condo on the top floor of a 6 storey building with a balcony. In California you very frequently get fantastic sunsets. It is one of the things I miss about the place. I applied a lot of processing to this to make it look even more moody than it actually was but I love the end result.
